Barrel Distortion
Radial lens distortion in either direction: barrel for positive amounts, pincushion for negative.
The Barrel Distortion node bends the picture like a wide lens. Positive values bulge it outward from the centre, negative values pinch it inward.

- One control, Amount, signed
- Found in the node graph under Post FX → Distortion
The image on the right is the example patch itself. Drag and drop it onto the app, or load it with File → Load, to open the full graph. A Caustics field, run through a Gradient Colorizer, at the default of 0; slide Amount either way.
Inputs and outputs

| Port | Type | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Input | Texture | The picture to process. |
| Output | Texture | The result. |
Parameters
Opacity, Blend Mode, and Alpha are the standard operator header; see Parameters and Controls.
- Amount (−10 to 10, default 0) — positive is barrel, negative is pincushion. 0 passes the input through.
Every slider has a per-parameter animation bar, so it can be animated, audio driven, or MIDI mapped.
Examples
Fisheye — Amount 3 on a grid pattern such as Hexagonal.
Breathing — animate Amount between −0.5 and 0.5 with a slow LFO.
Troubleshooting
Black corners appear — a strong barrel pulls the edges in. Scale the source up first with Transform.
