Output Node
The Output node — the terminal sink that owns the 3D engine settings, the final colour grade, and the NDI and Spout senders.
The Output node is what the viewport renders, what exports capture, and what NDI and Spout send. Everything you want to see must reach it.
It has one Input and no outputs. Its parameters fall into three groups: the 3D engine, the final colour grade, and the external senders.
3D engine
These sections only appear when the graph holds a 3D operator. In a pure 2D patch they drive nothing and stay hidden.
- 3D Engine — Renderer: Simple Renderer or AuraEngine.
- 3D Anti-Aliasing — MSAA (Geometry AA) at Off, 2×, 4×, or 8×, and Specular AA.
- 3D Render Scaling — Render Scale % (50–100) runs the 3D pipeline at reduced internal resolution, then Upscaler (FSR 1.0 or Bilinear) brings it back with Upscale Sharpness.
- 3D Color — Tone Mapping (None, ACES Filmic, AgX, Neutral) and Exposure.
- 3D Scene Bloom — Bloom Intensity, Bloom Radius, Bloom HDR Clamp. Off by default.
- 3D Ambient Occlusion — AO Intensity, AO Radius, AO Thickness, AO Resolution, AO Only. On by default.
- 3D Contact Shadows — Contact Length, Contact Intensity. On by default.
- 3D Screen-Space Reflections — SSR Intensity, SSR Distance, SSR Thickness. Off by default.
- 3D Scene Reflections — Reflection Mode, Reflection Quality, Update Every (frames).
Colour grade
The final grade, applied to everything.
- Basic Correction — Tone Mapping, White Select, Temperature, Tint, Exposure, Contrast, Brightness, Gamma, Highlights, Shadows. Collapsed by default.
- Creative — Sharpen, Vibrance, Saturation, Hue.
- Curves — a curve editor.
- Channel Correction — Red, Green, Blue gains.
- Lookup — LUT Source, LUT File, LUT Image, Flip LUT Y, LUT Strength.
NDI and Spout
- NDI Output and NDI Sender Name — desktop only.
- Spout Output and Spout Sender Name — Windows desktop only. Both controls are hidden on macOS.
Both senders need a paid tier.
Settings that live in the Output dialog
Some output settings are app-level rather than node parameters. Open them from the Output menu:
- Render Size — the actual output resolution.
- Alpha — whether the output carries alpha.
- Test Card — swaps the output for a built-in test card. Its look controls — Dark to Light, Anim Speed, Emblem Size, Emblem Glow, Sweep Shimmer, Grid Amount — appear in the dialog only while the card is on, never in the node's parameter panel.
- Display Output — send to an external monitor.
The test card bypasses the colour grade entirely.
Troubleshooting
The 3D sections are missing — the graph has no 3D operator. They appear once you add one.
Everything is soft after switching patches — check Render Scale %. Below 100 the 3D pipeline renders small and upscales.
Preview looks lower quality than the output — that is the viewport's Full / Half / Quarter preview quality, which does not affect what this node sends.
